Emma Davey, Director of Membership & Corporate Affairs, FIA Europe
Emma Davey has worked in the derivatives industry in a range of roles. She began her working life as a journalist, after graduating from Goldsmith College, University of London with a BA in Drama and English. Having joined the specialist derivatives publication, FOW, in 1987 as a reporter, she progressed to become editor-in-chief and then Managing Director of the division before leaving in 2006. She then joined London Metal Exchange, where she was, most recently, Business Manager: Membership and Business Development. She joined the Futures and Options Association in March 2009 as Director of Membership and Corporate Affairs. Her responsibilities include general membership relations and corporate communications – as well as areas such as events, marketing and publications. The FOA has been renamed FIA Europe following its affiliation with FIA.
Davey is a founding trustee and deputy chairman of Futures For Kids, the industry charity, a member of the board of WILD (Women in Listed Derivatives) in London, and was previously a school governor, and chairman of the board, at a state school in the London Borough of Bromley for ten years.
