Oliver Harvey, Senior Executive Leader, Financial Markets Infrastructure, ASIC
Oliver Harvey leads ASIC's Financial Market Infrastructure division and has primary ASIC responsibility for oversight of market infrastructure, such as financial market operators and clearing & settlement facilities. Of recent times, his work has had a particular focus on macro and micro-structure innovations and developments across the whole area of financial markets, including OTC derivative reform following the global financial crisis. Prior to joining ASIC, Harvey worked with McKinsey & Company in their New York Office in the Global Corporate & Institutional Banking Practice. In that role, he served a number of clients, including large exchanges, investment banks and professional services firms. Harvey is a qualified lawyer and commenced his career with a major international law firm.
